Atlas vs Gymdesk

Gymdesk is honest about its price. Let's be honest about ours.

Gymdesk publishes real pricing and includes every feature at every tier, credit where due. At a couple of member counts their sticker price briefly undercuts ours. At the exact same capacity, the math usually goes the other way, and only one of us does biometric access control.

Gymdesk figures verified live against their published pricing, October 2026, and change as they update their site. Verify current numbers directly before making a decision.

What the same capacity actually costs

Match the member count, not the tier name.

Gymdesk and Atlas don't tier at the same breakpoints, so comparing "Growth vs Medium" by name is misleading. Here's what each company actually charges at the same headcount.

New studio

Up to 50 members

Atlas Community

Free

50 members, 1 branch

Gymdesk Micro

$75/mo

50 members

Atlas is free. Gymdesk is $75/mo for the same headcount.

Growing gym

200 members, same capacity both sides

Atlas Growth

$129/mo

200 members, 2 branches, access control included

Gymdesk Medium

$150/mo

200 members, no access control at any tier

Same 200-member capacity. Atlas is $21/mo cheaper and includes biometric access control, Gymdesk doesn’t offer it at all.

Large gym

At Gymdesk’s 400-member ceiling

Atlas Pro

$229/mo

Unlimited members, 3 branches

Gymdesk Large

$200/mo

400 members, then a custom quote

Gymdesk is $29/mo cheaper right at 400 members, then you need a sales call. Atlas has no member ceiling at this tier.

Atlas prices are published on our pricing page. Gymdesk figures are from their own published pricing, not an estimate, verified live October 2026. See the FAQ below for the exact sourcing on access control.

Where Atlas is weaker

Three things Gymdesk does better.

Processor choice and feature-parity philosophy aren't fixable with a pricing argument. These are real.

  • Payment processor choice. Five options to our three is a real Gymdesk advantage for operators with an existing processor relationship outside our three.
  • Feature-gating philosophy. Every Gymdesk tier gets every feature. Atlas reserves white-label branding and deeper reporting for Pro and above.
  • Raw price at the high end. Gymdesk Large ($200/mo, up to 400 members) undercuts Atlas Pro ($229/mo) by $29/mo at that exact headcount.

Who should choose Gymdesk

Three cases where we are the wrong choice.

If any of these describe your business, Gymdesk is the more defensible pick.

  • You specifically want every feature available regardless of how much you pay, and don’t need door access.
  • You need a payment processor outside Paystack, Flutterwave, or Stripe, Gymdesk’s five options cover more ground.
  • Your gym sits right at a Gymdesk tier boundary (100 or 400 members) where their price briefly undercuts ours and you don’t need biometric access.
