Atlas vs Zen Planner
Zen Planner's price is real. So is everything they sell you after it.
Zen Planner publishes its pricing, credit where due. The base Studio plan is a fair, transparent number. What it doesn't include is a branded app or marketing automation, both sold separately, on top.
Zen Planner figures verified live against zenplanner.com/pricing/active-member-tiers, October 2026, and change as they update their site. Verify current numbers directly before making a decision.
What the base subscription actually costs
The base price gap is real, but it's not the whole story.
Both numbers below are published, real prices, not estimates. The gap narrows as member count grows, Zen Planner's top band is flat no matter how big you get.

Where Atlas is weaker
Three things Zen Planner does better.
Marketing depth and tenure aren't fixable with a pricing argument. These are real.
- Marketing and CRM automation. Engage is a real, purpose-built marketing suite. Atlas has no equivalent.
- Track record. Zen Planner is a long-established player with broad feature coverage once the add-ons are purchased.
- Website building. Zen Planner can build and host your marketing site. Atlas assumes you already have one.
Who should choose Zen Planner
Three cases where we are the wrong choice.
If any of these describe your business, Zen Planner is the more defensible pick.
- You specifically want Engage's marketing automation and are willing to pay $249/mo for it.
- You need a built-in website builder and don't want to manage a separate site.
- Your gym fits neatly in one of their published member bands and you don't need door access or a branded app.
